Our latest unit to sooth the furrowed brow of multiple amp users who can no longer stand the loud ground loop hum.

APPLICATIONS:
1) Feeds up to three amps (ensure all grounded to AC power) low Z output allows the use of long cables without loss of Tone or Level and without introducing any “ground loop hum”.

2) Output 1 is unbalanced and grounded to the input and the unit case; when using this output the amp power ground will be fed through to the guitar.

3) Outputs 2 and 3 are floating and will prevent ground loops occurring: please ensure your amps are connected to a reliable power ground at all times. You can experiment with the three outputs to find which gives the lowest noise with your system. If you are feeding the guitar signal from a grounded source you should find that outputs 2 and 3 function best but if the guitar signal is ungrounded then possibly outputs 1 and 2 will be better. All three outputs are identical in signal level so there will be no difference in performance by changing outputs. Outputs 2 and 3 can be used to drive amps via Mic Tie Lines for studio applications using the appropriate T-R-S / XLR and XLR / Mono Jack adaptors which are available to order.

POWER SUPPLY: The battery is replaceable via the removable “drawer” and we recommend alkaline types. The battery is switched on when you insert the “IN / PWR” jack and to ensure long battery life unplug this lead when the unit is not in use. If the unit is not to be used for a long length of time, we recommend that you remove the battery. Preferred battery types are MN1604. Also fitted is an input for a DC adaptor: the size of the connector is M2.1 with negative (-VE) tip. The voltage rating of the adaptor should be fully stabilized at 9.6V and capable of supplying 20mA. We recommend the use of the BOSS PSA series adaptors (PSA-100/110/220 or 240 depending on your local AC supply voltage) as meeting the above criteria and cannot accept any liability for damage caused to this unit by the use of any other type of AC/DC adaptor.

SPECIAL NOTE: When using more that one amp there is a 50 percent possibility of the second one being out of phase with the first. The way to test this is to use just one amp, then add the second and the volume should increase slightly and be "fuller". If there is a reduction in volume or bass when the second amp is added then that one is out of phase. The simplest way to correct this is to reverse the loudspeaker wiring of the affected amp and we recommend that fully qualified technicians only should undertake this modification. Alternatively, specially wired output cables are available which will reverse the phase of outputs 2 and 3. Please contact us if you wish to purchase these.
